Frequently Asked Questions:

Where is the studio located?

The studio is located less than 3 miles south of Weatherford High School off I-20 and Bethel Rd. Our studio is not a storefront, and opened by appointment only.

What are your studio rates:

Starting rate is $60 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. Hourly rates will change if your session begins or runs past 9pm. A non-refundable deposit of $120 is required before your booking is considered official.

Do you offer any studio discounts?

Our most popular discount is our 8hr block at $400, which averages to $50hr. We do offer referral discounts and seasonal discounts, so if you're looking to save some money, these are the best ways to do it.

Do you provide payment plans?

We do not provide any payment plans; all sessions must be paid upfront before it begins.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, PayPal, and CashApp. We do not accept Zelle or Venmo. All e-payments will be subject to 5% processing fee.

I have a pre-existing session and want to add something to it in your studio. Can I bring my own session?

Yes. Please bring your session on a hard storage drive. If you want to preserve any effects from a previous session, make sure your tracks are frozen/commited and consolidated to prevent any issues with porting over your session.

I'm a freelance engineer. Can I rent out your studio?

Yes, you can. Be advised you are responsible for your own session storage arrangments. We have access to Pro-Tools, and Reaper. We are not responsible for compatibility issues if you can't open your session.

I need to make a supply run for my instrument. Where is the nearest music store?

Craig's Music is about 7 miles from the studio in downtown Weatherford. Guitar Center, Zoo Music, and Toneshop Guitars are all about 30 miles away in Fort Worth. Craig's Music deals mostly with guitar and bass equipment, and tends to be limited on drum equipment. If we don't have what you need, Guitar Center is your next best bet.

Do you do drumset rentals?

Yes, we do. Be advised our drum equipment inventory is constantly changing, and is subject to availability. Contact us for our most up to date inventory and rental rates.

Why is your deposit so high?

Because we want you to show up! Seriously though, our booking minimum is 2 hours, and your non-refundable deposit covers that requirement.

Are you looking for studio musicians?

We are always accepting submissions for studio musicians. Please include your EPK, rates, gear list, links to your recording, and contact information in your submissions. Submissions without an EPK will not be considered.

Can I smoke in your studio?

Absolutely not. Consuming tobacco products, vapes, e-cigarettes, marijuana products and illicit substances are not allowed on the studio premises or the property. You will be responsible for a $500 mitigation fee on top of any additional damages that may incur, and your session and all fees will also be forfeited.

When do you release my sessions?

Your session will be released when payments for all services rendered have been received.

I haven't paid my session bill yet. Can you send me a rough mix?

We do not provide any rough bounces until your sessions are paid in full.

Do I have to be present for each session? Can't I just email you what I want?

We do not require anyone to be present. However, you will be required to pay upfront for sessions you're not attending. If your session requires additional time beyond what you booked, additional studio time must be paid upfront for before work continues. Additional studio time will be subject to availability.

Can you do songwriting sessions?

Yes, but you have to be present in the studio. Standard hourly rates will apply.

My track has one "quick fix." Can you fix it?

Yes but there will be a $120 minimum fee associated with any edits you want on your project, regardless of the scope of work. A common misconception about "quick fixes" is they're quick, which isn't always the case, and they can add up very fast. We do not do "quick fixes" for free.

How long will my project take from start to finish?

It really depends on a wide variety of factors- for example: how long it takes you to make a decision, how many revisions or fixes you want, if you want to re-track something, your ability to stick to a decision once it's made, or how many other people are giving you input on your project. Some projects can be done in a day or two, while other projects have been known to be delayed for over a year because of a client's inability to stick to a decision. These factors can also add on expenses you otherwise might not have planned for. If you have a completion timeline you want to meet, discuss it with your engineer to make sure a plan is in place to ensure your goals are met.

My sessions are paid up. How do I get my sessions?

We provide your sessions either on a hard drive or Dropbox. You will need to supply your own MAC compatible storage drive, or ensure the receiving Dropbox account is configured to recieve the session. If you want us to utilize another file sharing service, you will be responsible for any incurred expenses. We will not port over any sessions to another file sharing service until all associated expenses are paid.

Can I rent out your studio for a private party?

We do not rent out the studio for private parties.

I'm a private music instructor. Can I rent out the studio to teach out of?

Yes! We provide 2 practice pad drumsets for one instructor and one student, electric guitars and basses, amps, 88key MIDI keyboard, and a lounge area. Please note rentals do not include access to our recording equipment or acoustic drums. We do not have access to acoustic pianos, woodwinds, brasswinds, orchestra or marching band instruments.

Can I bring my spouse/significant other, or kids to my session?

We strongly advise against bringing visitors that are not directly involved with your sessions, especially kids; having multiple opinions can negatively influence critical decisions, delay your completion timeline, and cost you studio time. Remember, you're the one paying for the session!

The studio has limited seating and space so if you must bring visitors, they will need to either sit on the floor or on the staircase. Animals of any type are not allowed with exception to ADA service dogs. Emotional support animals are not allowed, and are not recognized as ADA service animals in the State of Texas. You will be held responsible for any damages caused by your visitors or ADA service dog.

Can I rent out the studio for a shotoshoot or music video shoot?

Yes, contact us for rental rates and conditions.

We're a band coming in from out of town, can we spend the night in the studio?

The studio is not setup for overnight guests. There are plenty of hotels nearby should you need to book a room.

We're coming from out of town and aren't familiar with the area. What's there to do?

The studio is located 3 miles from the city limits, and downtown Weatherford is 7 miles from the studio. There are plenty of restaurants, stores, salons, and entertainment destinations within a 5 mile radius. Hudson Oaks, Willow Park, and Aledo are also nearby.

Do you do internships?

We are limited on the number of interns we take in. If you're a student studying recording arts or audio engineering at a local college or conservatory, have your professor or department head contact us to discuss your internship requirements. We prioritize applicants who are specifically studying the recording arts at a college, university, or trade school conservatory.

I don't know where to start with my recording project, help!

This is why we recommend scheduling a tour and free project consultation! Once you get a feel of the studio, our engineers can get an idea of what you want out of your project and then put together a plan of action to bring your project to life.

Do you take trades of gear in exchange for studio time?

We limit the number of trades of service we do. If we do accept any types of trade, we reserve the right to determine the amount of studio time you get for the gear you're trading.
