Frequently Asked Questions about music lessons:
What do I need before starting lessons?
For piano lessons, you will need a workbook and other materials prescribed by the instructor. These materials are covered in your registration fee, which you'll only have to pay once. For drum lessons, you'll just need a pair of drumsticks and a practice pad. Total cost for a pair of drumsticks and a practice pad is roughly $25. If you can't find a practice pad, a mesh mouse pad will work just fine.
Do I really need to own a full drumset before starting lessons?
Not necessarily, especially when you're just starting out. The reason why we recommend against getting a full drumset before doing lessons, is to help you keep the costs of your initial start up investment low, and for you to decide if drum lessons are right for you. Once you're ready to invest in a drumset, the instructor will be more than happy to assist in that process!
What kind of piano do I need?
All piano lessons are conducted on an 88key keyboard. You can find used keyboards and pianos for relatively inexpensive, and sometimes free on Facebook marketplaces or other online outlets.
I notice your tuition rates are significantly lower compared to other music conservatories in the area. What's the catch?
The answer is quite simple- our overhead costs are nearly non-existent! We own the studio outright, and we pass on the savings to you! We are also big advocates of keeping private music lessons as accessible as possible, and not price anyone out of a quality music lesson experience. Our current tuition rates have stayed exactly the same eversince the studio opened.
